Explore the Latest Visual Aids with Optelec

Representatives from Optelec will be showcasing a variety of visual aids and assistive technologies designed to support people with sight loss. This is a fantastic opportunity to see the equipment in action and find out how technology can make everyday tasks easier.

Experience Sight Loss Through Simulator Specs

Have you ever wondered what different eye conditions can look like? Visitors will have the chance to try simulator spectacles that demonstrate the effects of various visual impairments. This interactive experience can help friends, family members, and professionals gain a greater understanding of the challenges faced by people living with sight loss.

Enjoy Live Entertainment

We are pleased to welcome the Centenary Theatre Company Choir, who will be performing between 12:30pm and 1:00pm. Their performance promises to be a highlight of the day and a wonderful opportunity for everyone to come together and enjoy some live music.

Health, Wellbeing and Dementia Awareness Sessions

Home Instead Warrington & Lymm will be leading two informative sessions during the day:

• Love to Move chair based exercise taster – 11:30am
  A fun and engaging movement session designed to support physical and cognitive wellbeing.
• Dementia Awareness – 1:15pm
  An informative session providing valuable insight into dementia and practical ways to support those affected.

Visit Our VI Marketplace

Our VI Marketplace will bring together a range of local organisations and services that support people with visual impairments. Visitors will have the opportunity to meet providers, ask questions, and discover resources available in the local area.

Organisations attending include:

• Specsavers Home Visits Service
• SocialEyes – A lovely social group who meet every couple of months
• Other local visual impairment support services and community organisations

Refreshments Available

No community event would be complete without refreshments. Tea, coffee, and a selection of cakes will be available to purchase throughout the day, giving visitors the chance to relax, socialise, and enjoy the atmosphere.

This event is open to people of all ages and is a great opportunity to learn more about visual impairment, access helpful information and support, meet local organisations, and connect with others in the community.
